The Vest Project benefiting from free concert

A free ‘Concert for Peace in Ukraine’ is taking place at the North Bay waterfront Wednesday evening.

The Maple Hill Project is performing at the fundraising event for The Vest Project.

Ralph Celentano, committee member,  says along with donations being accepted at the concert, a silent auction is taking place.

“Any of these funds raised will go directly to Ukraine and help support those who need the non-lethal protective equipment that is, unfortunately, lacking for those people,” he says.

So far, The Vest Project has raised over $60,000

“We are looking forward to gathering as a community for the first open concert in three summers (because of COVID-19 safety protocols),” says Celentano, “This will be a great kick-off to Summer.”

The 2-hour concert starts at 7 pm on Wednesday, June 15 at the Kiwanis Bandshell.

Everyone is welcome.
