The North Bay Battalion will play the latest home opener in franchise history next season.
Their first game of the 2022-23 campaign at Memorial Gardens will be Thursday, October 13 against Peterborough.
The OHL season actually starts September 29 with the Troops on the road for five straight games while the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling ‘Boost National’ takes place in North Bay.
On September 30, the Battalion visit Sault Ste Marie for the Greyhounds’ home opener.
The Troops also say they won’t be playing a home game on Thanksgiving Monday for the first time in franchise history, dating to 1998-99.
The full OHL schedule will be released Thursday.
