The deal is sealed. Full time faculty at Nipissing University have ratified their tentative agreement with administration.
Faculty voted 93% in favor of the new, four year deal. Some highlights include a 5% increase to base pay over five years, improved benefits to retirees, and an additional 12 weeks off for birth mothers on maternity leave.
“All NUFA Members can be proud of this deal. It puts us on the path to fix some of the structural problems at Nipissing,” said Hilary Earl, FABSU Chief Negotiater. “The real work starts now to ensure that faculty voices are heard.”
