The Trout Lake Watershed Study and Management Plan is the focus of a couple of community open houses on Wednesday, June 22.
The first public meeting runs from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the East Ferris Community Centre and Arena, with the second meeting from 6 pm to 8 pm in the North Bay Council Chambers.
Both public meetings will include a presentation and will be followed by questions and answers.
Officials will be presenting the latest data and findings and reviewing recommendations.
The goal is to update and establish policies and provisions that will help to protect and preserve Trout Lake, Four Mile Lake and inflowing streams.
Comments can also be submitted online at https://www.northbay.ca/projects/trout-lake-study/ or emails can be sent to email@example.com prior to the meeting.
Trout Lake is North Bay’s source of municipal drinking water as well as the source of water for many shoreline residents in North Bay and East Ferris.
