It wasn’t meant to be… the city says Wednesday’s attempt at breaking the world record for the largest human maple leaf was unsuccessful.
North Bay came close to the 2019 record set by Trenton, but fell short by just over 240 people.
The city says approximately 3,700 people formed the human maple leaf at Armed Forces Day celebrations Wednesday.
According to the city, event organizers say they have learned from the experience and are confident North Bay can easily break the record during its next attempt.
