The results are in from the second Backpacks of Love summer campaign.
The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay packed 57 bags of hygiene products and other essential items.
Bags were then donated to frontline organizations that provide assistance to the homeless in North Bay, including the North Bay Crisis Centre, the Indigenous Friendship Centre, the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area and the Gathering Place.
The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless is now pausing until September when they plan to develop strategies to address the needs of the homeless and to advocate for creative ways to develop shelter space and affordable housing.
