NBPS seize approx. $82,000 of drugs

Over $80,000 in drugs are off the North Bay Streets.

That’s according to the North Bay Police Service, who says they arrested and charged a 36-year-old man around 12:45 a.m on July 13.

That’s after officers executed a search warrant at an Avalon St. residence in North Bay. The accused was located inside.

Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 467 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Approximately 1,076 suspected Percocet pills
  • Approximately 306 suspected methamphetamine pills
  • Approximately 90 suspected oxycodone pills
  • Approximately 188 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • Approximately 4 suspected hydromorphone pills
  • Drug trafficking equipment
  • A quantity of Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $82,000.

The North Bay man was charged with:

  • Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking 
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
