June saw a slight increase in job postings in Nipissing District.
The Labour Market Group is reporting 703 job postings that month, up just over nine percent compared to May.
315 unique employers posted jobs in June.
The top five included:
– North Bay Regional Health Centre
– Near North District School Board
– District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board
– Voyageur Aviation Corp
– Ontario Northland
Health care and social assistance was the top hiring industry followed by retail trade, accommodation and food services, educational services and manufacturing.

Two-thirds of the jobs were classified as full-time, which is down nearly five percent from May.
About a quarter of the jobs posted required a bilingual individual.
