Nordic Minesteel Technologies is expanding.
They’ve purchased land from the city and plan to build a new production and office facility in the Airport Industrial Park.
“We are excited about this next phase of our growth and our continued support to our local community,” states a release.
The company says since starting in 1993 they’ve transitioned from being simply a steel fabricator to being known around the world for the innovative mining equipment they design and manufacture.
That equipment is used in both underground and surface mines.
Nordic Minesteel Technologies currently employs about 60 people in Canada, all located in North Bay, and plans to add additional personnel.
