A 36-year-old North Bay man is facing arson and break and enter charges after an incident on Shea Street.
City police say around 11:30 pm on Saturday, they received a report from North Bay Fire and Emergency Services that the accused set an unoccupied tent on fire in the backyard of a residence.
Police say the accused left the immediate location prior to police arrival, but was located by police and arrested on O’Brien Street, adding a search of the accused revealed items of the victim’s property.
The victim and accused are not known to one another. No physical injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is set to appear before the court on September 22, 2022.
