Northern Ontario unites during 100th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

A nearly $250,000 investment from FedNor is enabling northern Ontario to attend the 100th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto this year.

The over-week-long event takes place in November and is billed as the largest indoor agricultural and equestrian event in the world.

Yesterday, Nickel Belt MP Marc Serré announced the funding which will establish the Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion at the fair.

“I am happy that FedNor is once again helping the agri-food sector of Northern Ontario participate and join in on the 100th-anniversary celebrations of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair,” said Serré. “This investment is going to help draw attention to Northern Ontario’s exceptional offerings while supporting our agri-food businesses in their continued growth and success.”

300,000 people are slated to attend the fair and pass through the north’s pavilion which will boast many of our agri-food producers and organizations under one banner.
