Memorial Drive assault leads to charges for North Bay man

A 23-year-old North Bay man is facing assault charges.

Police say on Sunday at approximately 10:30 pm, the accused assaulted two victims in the 100-block of Memorial Drive.

Officials say while the victims were walking through the area, the accused was speaking loudly. When asked if he was speaking to the victims, he became aggressive.

Police say the victims attempted to de-escalate the situation by offering the accused a cigarette, at which point the accused took the cigarette pack and threw it at the victim.
