Ski hill line extension debate continues

A condition to re-zoning Pearce Street for 15 homes in North Bay is the existing line has to handle extra sewage without back-ups into other homes.  And the line has to cope with the flow without the benefit of the City building the $4.2 million ski hill extension.

However a developer says not building the extension will hamper future housing growth.    John Wallace of Laurentian Heights Limited says council keeps debating where the money for the new line will come from.

Wallace says a major benefit to building the line is the City will collect annual taxes from the new homes that will be built in the area.  Wallace made the comment to city council where he also indicated that he has 20 serviced but unsold lots in the area.
