Truck inspections are the topic of questions being asked at Queen’s Park.
Transport trucks and other commercial vehicles frequent the Northeast far more than some other areas in the province due to the presence of the TransCanada Highway. According to the province only seven per cent of all commercial trucks on our roads are inspected and nearly 25 per cent of those do not pass inspection.
There are particular concerns for the Northeast as road safety is a priority for local police especially over the winter months.
