Assault charge filed after incident at Trout Lake Road business

The North Bay Police Service reports a 42-year-old city man has been charged with assault.

On Sept. 30, city police responded to a Trout Lake Road business.

Police say they received a report a person was bothering customers when an employee attempted to talk with the man.

“The victim attempted to speak with the accused, at which time the accused approached the victim and struck the victim using his fist before leaving the area,” states a release.  “The victim in this incident sustained minor, non-life threatening physical injuries as a result of the assault.”
