City police have charged two youth after an assault in the area of Lake Heights Road and Madelena Drive.
The North Bay Police Service says the victims and one of the accused are known to each other.
Police say on Sept. 15 the victims agreed to meet with the accused, who then assaulted a male victim with a blunt object.
When a female victim attempted to intervene she was also assaulted.
The other accused, according to police, was hiding in a bush area and then emerged and assaulted the male victim.
Both accused then fled the area with one arrested on Sept. 23 and the other on Oct. 1.
Police say the victims sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries.
One of the accused was released on an undertaking while the other was held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
