The North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce’s business awards is being deemed another huge success.
That’s according to Donna Backer, Interim President and CEO of the Chamber.
“The Evening of Excellence is a special event as we celebrate the businesses and individuals who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement and success,” said Backer. “Businesses are still recovering, yet shining a spotlight on the nominees, winners and all businesses in our district is well deserved and appreciated.”
The winners per category are:
- New Business of the Year – Gateway City Brewery
- Not-for-Profit of the Year – The Davedi Club
- Young Professional of the Year – Natasha Snoddon, Northern Spark Marketing
- Small Business of the Year (1-5 employees) – The Engraving Shoppe
- Small Business of the Year (6-15 employees) – Express Parcel
- Business of the Year (16+ employees) – Designed Roofing
The North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce also presented the annual Betty Alcorn Memorial Award for Director of the Year to Natasha Penn. Penn is the 2022 Chair of the Board of Directors, and officials say has exemplified dedication and diligence and is the youngest female to serve as chairperson. “Natasha has been instrumental in bringing new ideas to the table, has forward-thinking perspective on how to grow our organization, has been a great addition to the Chamber Board and we look forward to her future contributions,” said Backer. “Young professionals like Natasha are the future of the business community and our Chamber, so it’s great that we have vibrant, fresh and positive individuals around the table to grow and be better”, added Backer.
