Two North Bay residents facing drug trafficking charges, police seize $23,000 worth of drugs

Over $20,000 of drugs are off the North Bay streets.

That’s according to city police who have charged a 19-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman with drug trafficking offences.

Police say officers attended a home on Regina Street on Saturday and located the two accused inside and found what they call “significant quantities” of illegal drugs.

The list includes over 90 grams of suspected cocaine, over 130 tables of suspected benzodiazepine, and 17 grams of suspected fentanyl and more.

The 19-year-old from North Bay was charged with:

  • Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • Three counts of Fail to Comply with Sentence
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

The 29-year-old from North Bay was charged with:

  • Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • Two counts of Failure to comply with release order
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
