North Bay Transit is adding a fixed-route option to the McKeown corridor.
The route will run between 7:10 pm and 10:10 pm each Monday through Thursday, beginning Oct. 31.
“North Bay Transit is expanding the 1C McKeown Corridor route to help meet increasing ridership,” states a release from the city. “This fixed route will run every 30 minutes along McKeown Avenue between the Education Centre on College Drive and the intersection of Algonquin and Shirreff avenues.”
Officials say the evening service will compliment the existing Dynamic Dispatch service.
The city says North Bay Transit will continue to make service level adjustments based on demand as it works toward rebuilding ridership, which remains below pre-pandemic levels.
