North Bay council holds off approving triplex rezoning

It appears North Bay council may be listening to residential concerns over a triplex proposed for Galt Street.  Homeowners are concerned that the four parking spaces earmarked for the site aren’t enough.  They say council should stick to its bylaw which calls for six spaces.  Staff is recommending four spaces.  But residents say visitors at the triplex will force parking onto the street and that becomes a major issue during the winter.  Council didn’t approve the proposal at Tuesday’s meeting and left it at the committee stage for now.
