Police training Wednesday at North Bay Regional Health Centre

Don’t be alarmed if you see a heavy police presence at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday.

That from the North Bay Police Service which says the Emergency Response Team is conducting a training exercise at the hospital, in partnership with health centre staff. 

NBPS says you noticed an increased police presence from approximately 9 am to 12 pm. 

Police say there won’t be any street closures or disruption of daily activities because of the training and residents can continue to access health care services as they normally would.  

Police say their Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment, to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations.
