The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay is holding an information session on how local groups support those experiencing homelessness.
Several frontline organizations will be there to provide information and answer questions.
The session takes place Friday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 pm, at Trinity United Church.
The committee is also collecting essential items to help the homeless during the winter months.
The Soles for Soul Campaign takes place from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, Dec. at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption.
On top of collecting new mitts, hats, scarves, and socks, residents can also help by sponsoring winter boots and shoes for $50.
The committee will then do the shopping and bring correctly sized boots and shoes to frontline organizations to provide to the homeless.
