Commercial vehicles checked during traffic initiative

Several commercial vehicles were taken out of service after two recent traffic initiatives by the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of Transportation.

Both took place on Highway 11 in Callander.

The first joint traffic initiative at the Wasi South Bound Scales at 5 pm on Nov. 29 resulted in six Highway Traffic Act charges and two commercial vehicles being taken out of service.

At 5 am on Dec. 5, police and the MTO were set up at the Wasi North Bound Scales.
