The North Bay Regional Health Centre now has its own independent energy supply.
North Bay Hydro, along with several other community partners, officially launched their Cogeneration project at the hospital this morning. The benefits to the hospital include more back up power during emergencies, stable and cheaper utility coasts, as well as new, state of the art infrastructure.
The project came in under the budget of 6.5-million dollars, and was over five years in the making.
