Donations ‘slowly coming in’ to Salvation Army kettle campaign

There’s still a way to go for the Salvation Army North Bay to reach it’s fundraising goal this year.

With Christmas fast approaching they’re at 43% of the $225,000 goal.

“The campaign is going fairly smoothly, we’ve had a great response from people volunteering to stand by our kettles,” says Major Stephanie Watkinson, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army North Bay Ministries. “The donations are slowly coming in and that’s why we’re trying to put a final plug out.  There are only 10 days left until our campaign ends.”

Six kettles in North Bay include the TipTap machines while financial donations can also be dropped off at 134 McIntyre St. East, or made online at www.salvationarmy.ca/northbay

“These funds are used in North Bay for many of our year-round programs,” says Watkinson.  “It is through the wide range of services that we are able to locally provide hope and dignity to the residents of North Bay and surrounding area.”

The Kettle campaign launched in mid-November.
