What has been a holiday tradition for many local residents in years past is returning on Thursday.
The community can once again volunteer to help pack the North Bay Santa Fund baskets, which will be delivered on Friday.
Registration is not required to get involved.
“All you need to do is show up and bring your holiday cheer with you,” states the Santa Fund website.
Pre-selected teams were involved in both packing and delivering the baskets over the past couple of years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The packing of the baskets will take place at Canadore’s Commerce Court campus at 5 pm on Thursday, Dec. 22.
Delivery kicks off at the same location at 10 am on Friday, Dec. 23.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the North Bay Santa Fund, which provides hundreds of baskets of groceries and toys to families and children in North Bay each year.
