Snowfall warning in effect for North Bay area

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the North Bay area, from West Nipissing to Mattawa and Powassan.

Snow, at times heavy, is expected to move into the region Wednesday evening and last through Thursday morning.

The weather agency says snow may be mixed with ice pellets at times Wednesday night with periods of light snow lingering through Thursday.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions,” states the Environment Canada website.  “Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.”

Visibility may also be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
