OPP investigating HWY 64 crash involving a school bus

A crash between a school bus and a motor vehicle has left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Nipissing West OPP reports that shortly before 7 AM on Jan. 16, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 64.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates a motor vehicle struck a school bus.

They add nobody on the school bus has been injured, but the driver of the motor vehicle was transported to the local hospital by Manitoulin-Sudbury Paramedic Services with life-threatening injuries.

Highway 64 remains closed in both directions, between Highway 607 and Golf Course Road, while members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team (T.I.M.E.) process the scene.
