Pop-up and student exhibits on display at WKP Kennedy Gallery

The new year is bringing new events and exhibits to the WKP Kennedy Gallery.

Until March 3, North Bay’s public art gallery has a ‘Winter Wonderland’ pop-up exhibit and sale featuring the works of nine local artists.

They include paintings, photography, and textile work.

Friday, Jan. 20 features an opening reception (6-9 pm) for the Nipissing Fine Arts Juried Exhibition, which also runs through March 3.

It includes a variety of original artwork from students in the program at Nipissing University.

Saturday, Jan. 21 is the last day for Ashley Guenette’s solo exhibit, “Put a Finger Down If You’ve Ever Been Personally Victimized By Social Media Algorithms.”

There’s a free artist talk from 2:30-3:30 pm.

Before that, from 12 pm to 2 pm is a social media workshop with local artist and educator Marianne Vander Dussen.

The cost of attending “The Art of Building Your Following” is $20.
