Winter weather travel advisory from Environment Canada

Another dumping of snow is on the way.

Environment Canada has issued a  winter weather travel advisory for the North Bay area, stretching from West Nipissing to Mattawa and Powassan.

The weather agency says a Colorado low is expected to bring 10-15 cm of snow, beginning later Thursday afternoon.

“The snow is expected to fall heavy at times through this evening before tapering to periods of lighter snow tonight,” states the advisory.

Officials advise that visibility can be reduced in heavy snow and rapidly accumulating snow can make for difficult travel.
