Capitol Centre hosting Banff Film Festival world tour

A celebration of outdoor storytelling and filmmaking is returning to the Capitol Centre.

The Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival was held in the fall with award-winners and audience favourites among the films selected to play in theatres around the world.

Stops are planned in about 550 communities and more than 40 countries.

“For the 5th time in Capitol Centre history, we are proud to host the Banff Film Festival here in the Betty Speers Theatre,” says Dan Misturada, Director of Programming and Events. “The festival is one that our community looks forward to each year, especially because it’s a celebration of the beauty of the outdoors.”
