Suspects sought in attempted theft in Trout Creek

Provincial police are looking for two people and a pick-up truck after an attempted theft in Trout Creek.

Powassan OPP says the owner of a Carr Road business told officers on Jan. 29 they were alerted to a vehicle being on the property by a security system.

Police say the owner attended the property and spoke to the driver who requested information, adding that while the owner went to get it, the suspect left.

That’s when the owner saw evidence of mischief and an attempt to remove property from the area, according to the OPP.

The vehicle is described as an older white four-door GMC pickup truck with a soft black box cover and tinted windows.

Police say the licence plate on the front of the vehicle read AW70335 and the rear licence plate did not match but started with AZ.

They also say the driver appeared to be a white male, 30 to 40 years of age, with very little facial hair and a slim to medium build.

The passenger appeared to be a white female with mid-length, light-coloured hair.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
