The Ontario Provincial Police reports several charges were laid as a result of Operation Thin Ice earlier this month.
On Feb. 4, North Bay OPP and several partner agencies checked 87 motor vehicles, snowmachines and off-road vehicles for infractions.
Police report 13 charges under various acts including the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Liquor Licence and Control Act, Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act and the Ontario Fishing Regulations.
Nine fish were also seized.
25 mandatory alcohol screening demands were also conducted on drivers and operators with no infractions.
The joint operation with several OPP units and the Ministry of Natural Resources took place on Callander Bay and the surrounding area.
