City’s Christmas tree knocked down

A wind warning is in effect for North Bay.

Strong and gusty winds are expected today as a cold front moves in. Strong winds knocked down the city’s Christmas tree on Main Street this morning. It will not be put back up because it snapped at the bottom.

The wind gusts could get up to 90 kilometers an hour today. They should begin to taper off later this afternoon. Environment Canada warns that loose objects could be tossed away by the wind and damaged.
