Three locals and a Temagami man are facing drug trafficking charges after police seized over $10,000 in illegal drugs.
City police say last Friday (Feb. 9), officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Fourth Avenue East in North Bay, with all four accused at the home.
Police say the search resulted in 124 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, 37 grams of suspected Fentanyl, along with various amounts of suspected cocaine, Percocet, hydromorphone pills and more.
The accused in this matter are:
A 35-year-old man from North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Carrying concealed weapon
- One count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance
- Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
A 37-year-old man from Temagami, who is charged with:
- Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- One count of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
- Two counts of Failure to comply with release order
A 33-year-old woman from North Bay, who is charged with:
- Six counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
- One count of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Two counts of Failure to comply with release order
A 49-year-old from North Bay, who is charged with:
- Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 124 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine
- Approximately 37 grams of suspected Fentanyl
- Approximately 2 grams of suspected Cocaine
- Approximately thirty-three 5mg suspected Percocet pills
- Approximately twenty-four 8mg suspected Hydromorphone capsules
- Approximately sixteen suspected 10mg Hydromorphone capsules
- Approximately twenty suspected 6mg Hydromorphone capsules
- Approximately seven 100mg Methadone bottles
- A pellet gun and accompanying ammunition
- A quantity of shotgun ammunition
- A fixed blade knife and sheath
- A container of bear spray
- A set of brass knuckles (prohibited weapon)
- Drug trafficking equipment
- A quantity of Canadian currency
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $10,700.
The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
