A 57-year-old North Bay man is facing several charges including assault, robbery with violence and uttering threats.
The North Bay Police Service says after a person was approached on McIntyre Street East on Monday, threats and demands for cash were made, then the victim was assaulted, with and without a bicycle.
Police say the victim and the accused are known to each other.
According to police, the investigation also revealed the victim had been assaulted on multiple occasions in July.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
