Over $230,000 in suspected drugs off the street in North Bay

Two people are facing charges and over $230,000 in suspected drugs have been seized by the North Bay Police Service. 

This after the city police Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a Kehoe Street residence on Feb. 27. 

Police say officers seized over 660 grams of suspected Fentanyl, over 70 grams of suspected methamphetamine and Canadian money. 

A 27-year-old North Bay woman and a 22-year-old Toronto man are both charged with two counts each of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

The Toronto man was also charged with four counts of Failure to comply with a release order and was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse. 

The city woman was released on an Undertaking and is set to appear before the court on April 11, 2023.

Police say the investigation was supported by the Provincial Guns and Gangs Taskforce.
