Fedeli: Liberals burying Northern Ontario in red tape

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the Wynne Liberals are burying northern communities with bureaucratic red tape.  Fedeli visited numerous communities along the Highway 17 corridor along with P.C. leader Patrick Brown.

He says the common complaint was the hoops communities are put through and the Tory MPP says the amount of red tape is astounding.  Fedeli says there are 354,000 pieces of red tape in Ontario slowing down progress.

Fedeli says the Ring of Fire is a perfect example where approving an environmental assessment seemed to take forever.  The approval should have taken 45 days but under the Liberals took three years.

Fedeli stresses that was just to get approval and is not inclusive of the actual environmental assessment itself.    The Tory message to northerners during the road trip was Ontario can prosper once again by reducing red tape, improve infrastructure and make energy affordable.
