École secondaire catholique Algonquin students are doing their part for local health care.
They presented a $1,800 cheque to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation back in March, after raising funds from a sale of products designed and produced at the school.
It was all part of a class project within the entrepreneurship course, with students developing an original idea and then creating a pitch to see if it was viable, with the products then put up for sale to students and staff.
The items included custom clothes, water bottles, and even a do-it-yourself cookie jar.
Proceeds were then donated to the foundation.
