The weather was impacting travel in our area Wednesday morning
After being closed around 9:30 am, 511 Ontario says Highway 11 North between North Bay and Matheson reopened shortly after 11 am.
For travellers heading further north, the roadway is still closed, at last check between Matheson and Longlac.
This as a freezing rain warning continues for the time being in the area.
Environment Canada says the freezing rain and ice pellets will change to rain or showers.
There’s also the risk of a thunderstorm.
Power outages resulted in both St Theresa Catholic Elementary and M.T. Davidson schools in Callander being closed Wednesday.
