A 31-year-old city man is facing an arson charge.
The North Bay Police Service says at approximately 12:45 a.m. on April 3, an unoccupied black van in a Trout Lake Road parking lot was set on fire.
Police say the incident was captured on CCTV with the accused arrested later the same day on an unrelated arrest warrant.
A search of a residence a couple of days later turned up evidence relating to the arson, according to police.
The accused, who also faces one count of failing to comply with probation order, was held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
