Clean Green Beautiful North Bay officially kicks off the season with its Earth Day community-wide cleanup this weekend.
North Bay residents are encouraged to pick up litter anytime from Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23.
“We are deeply grateful to our whole community for volunteering to clean up our city over the last four years,” says Hariett Madigan, Chair. “We have received 1,700 bag requests and have seen folks taking advantage of the sunny weather posting their cleanup photos on our community Facebook group “
To take part visit www.cleangreenbeautiful.com to register as a volunteer and order their CGB biodegradable waste bags.
Students can also earn volunteer hours.
The community-wide cleanup is the first of many initiatives this year for the group, as the city takes part in the 2023 Communities in Bloom competition.
