City police have filed charges after a person was robbed and assaulted last Friday.
The North Bay Police Service says the incident happened at a parking garage and gym in the 1500 block of Fisher Street, and a blunt object was used in the assault.
Police say an arrest was made on Monday with a young person facing five charges including assault with a weapon, sexual assault and failure to comply with a release order.
The accused, who was held for a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse, and the victim are not known to one another, according to police.
The North Bay Police Service is also recognizing two witnesses on the scene for their compassion and assistance to the victim.
