Vrebosch acclaimed to small urban municipal group

The city says North Bay now has a voice at the table when it comes to advocating for small urban communities to the provincial and federal governments.

Councillor Tanya Vrebosch has been acclaimed to the executive committee of Ontario’s Small Urban Municipalities.

Officials say she group is the small urban municipal voice of the province and is an integral part of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.

“Associations like OSUM have highly respected members that I will be honoured to work alongside to advocate for small urban municipalities on provincial issues such as the mental health and addiction crisis, catch and release justice, growing transit ridership, funding assistance, connectivity and more,” says Vrebosch.

Officials say having Vrebosch at the table extends the executive committee’s membership north beyond Parry Sound.

Her term on the committee runs until 2026.
