A series of Art Battles will be taking place in North Bay over the next several months.
Twelve artists will take part in each speed-painting event, which will also feature music, demonstrations and vendors.
“Our events are fundraisers for Nick’s Place For Us, a local youth centre at 157 Main Street West where we provide programming in a safe inclusive environment for youth 13-30 and their extended families,” says Karrie Emms, a local artist and gallery owner. “While a number of our programs are art based, we focus on leadership, lift skills, education and relationship building.”
They also offer summer and sleepaway camps, and more.
Art Battle North Bay returns May 21, July 2, September 2, October 22 and December 3.
Artists from as far away as Hamilton, Montreal and Pembroke are already signed up for the May art battle.
Each event features a live auction of all works completed at the battle along with a cash prize for the winning artist.
