It’s not time to break out that sled just yet.
According to the North Bay Snowmobile Club, trails in the North Bay area are still closed. Director Shawn Flindall says the weather has been too mild for ponds and swamps to freeze over and there’s not a thick enough snow base on the ground. He urges extreme caution if you decide head out.
