If you spot several police officers on bikes around the city this week, there’s no need for concern.
The North Bay Police Service says members of both city police and the Ottawa Police Service are taking part in training exercises over the next several days.
Officials say city police bike patrols are deployed at the beginning of June.
But, depending on the weather, there may be sporadic deployment of bike patrols before then.
Over the past few years, the patrols have focused on the downtown core and surrounding areas, along with identified priority neighbourhoods.
