Two new orchards are being planted in the city.
Clean Green Beautiful (CGB) North Bay has partnered with Trees4Nipissing, Eagle Tree Service and Canadore College on the initiative. Orchards are being planted at Silver Birches Public School and École Secondaire Publique Odyssée on Tuesday, May 16.
“Clean Green Beautiful North Bay, Trees 4 Nipissing, and Canadore College, along with many other volunteers, have planted seven orchards of pear, plum, and apple trees since 2020,” says Hariett Madigan, Chair. “It’s been an amazing collaborative effort.”
CGB North Bay says upcoming tree plantings include Greening School Yards with North Bay Hydro and beautification projects with St- Joseph Scollard Hall, Silver Birches, and St Alexander.
