City marking National Public Works Week

The city is looking for names for five of its snowplows.  

North Bay’s Roads Department will be accepting submissions in its name the plow initiative at a family event next week.  

Afterwards, a webpage and email will be set up to accept submissions until the end of July.

May 21-27 is National Public Works Week and officials are highlighting the important work crews do to keep our water flowing, roads plowed, and parks clean.

A family fun day is taking place from 3 pm to 7 pm on Friday, May 26 at Lee Park.  

The event will include displays and activities featuring heavy equipment and traffic signals along with information about recycling, the landfill and the water and wastewater treatment facilities.  

Connecting the World through Public Works is this year’s theme for National Public Works Week.
