The North Bay Police Service reports an ongoing homicide investigation has led to an arrest.
A 53-year-old North Bay man has been charged with first degree murder.
Police say officers and emergency crews were called to a multi-unit residential building on Lakeshore Drive Wednesday for a report of a person in need of medical assistance.
After they arrived, first responders found a body in one of the units.
Police say the death was determined to be suspicious in nature — with the investigation leading to an arrest Thursday morning.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The victim has been identified as a 57-year-old city man.
Police say a publication ban has been put in place on the case.
